Over the last couple of years I've had the opportunity to do a fair amount of Environment Set Dressing. What started out as me using the engine to concept out environment ideas for the Art Directors, quickly evolved into requests for my help in this area of production too. It seemed my storytelling skills of envisioning characters and scenes fit naturally with the process and I grew to enjoy it very much. It was still really just painting, but with assets, lighting and build times. I wish I'd had the foresight to take shots of all the levels I'd worked on. The following are some of my environs for the game Singularity.
